On Monday 23 March at 3:00 p.m. the fifth event of the 12th Sannio Philosophy Festival was held online, organised by the association “Stregati da Sophia”. The protagonist was Prof. Umberto Curi with the lectio magistralis “The appearing of the Beautiful”.
The meeting explored the complexity of the concept of beauty, retracing its evolution from the classical world to contemporary thought. Curi highlighted the ambivalence of the beautiful, understood as an experience capable of revealing deep contradictions, but also of offering consolation.
The event was introduced by Prof. Carmela D'Aronzo and coordinated by Prof. Cristina Ciancio. An event of great philosophical and cultural value.
