On Friday 20 March at 3:00 p.m. the fourth event of the 12th Sannio Philosophy Festival was held online, promoted by the association “Stregati da Sophia”. The lectiones magistrales were given by Prof. Lidia Palumbo and Prof. Paolo Amodio.
Lidia Palumbo explored the theme “Plato and beauty”, analysing the role of beauty in the Platonic dialogues as a privileged path towards truth and the elevation of the soul. Paolo Amodio addressed “Free thoughts on beauty between the 17th and 18th centuries”, highlighting a more human and material vision of beauty.
The event was introduced by Prof. Carmela D'Aronzo and coordinated by Prof. Patrizia Pepe.
